ISO absence requests (PRX courses) for spring 2024 religious holidays!

We welcome students of all faiths in our pharmacy program and we want you to be able to celebrate the religious holidays that are important to you! If you need to miss class during the spring 2024 semester for a religious holiday, the best time to submit an excused absence request for that holiday is ASAP. Per the PCP Student Handbook, religious holidays must be requested by the end of the third week of the SEMESTER for ALL modules occurring in that semester (and the week prior to the start of the first module if the religious holiday falls within the first module of the semester). Requests received after these time frames will be considered unexcused, so please get those submitted as soon as you can so you don't miss the deadline. If you aren't sure of the exact date of your religious holiday, please put in the form anyway and make your best guess, and we can work with you on the specific day once time gets closer. Thank you! Professional Opportunities

P1-P3 Pharmacy Students! Exciting, flexible intern opportunity in a unique environment!

Mirador Global, LLC, a global biopharmaceutical consulting firm that provides strategic and business consultations to support early drug development and successful go-to-market strategies, is partnering with PCP to identify highly motivated students to work as interns. The company hopes to identify and hire two students who will work part-time during the academic year with additional hours available in the summer based on performance and need. Preference will be given to students who are pursuing business minors, business graduate certificates or the MBA. Pay is $25 per hour. Mirador Global staff will be responsible for assigning projects either through direct assignment or via a “crowd-sourcing approach” where interns will elect to work on projects that fit their interest and availability. Mirador Global leaders, some of whom are pharmacists, will be available to mentor and share professional experiences with students. Much of the work will be remote, cloud based, and can be done “off hours” from class or rotations. The company is local so F2F interactions may be available/required based on need and COVID restrictions. If you are interested, please send a resume and letter of intent to PCP alum Kaylor Kowash, at kkowash@miradorglobal.com. Deadline to apply is Friday, February 16th. Posted by Dean Foote. 1/25
