SH2 Remutaka Hill road night closure postponed

Tonight's planned closure postponed due to bad weather

Once again, we have had to postpone tonight’s maintenance work on State Highway 2 over the Remutaka Hill due to bad weather. So the road will be open for traffic tonight.

However, tonight's weather forecast is for southerly gales in exposed places, so if you do need to travel over the hill tonight please drive to the conditions.
