NewsLeaving TwitterOur Twitter account was permanently deactivated in August. We’ve loved the exchanges and remarkable content our partner organisations have contributed over the years, when we were a more active user of the application. We believe exchanges should always be grounded in mutual respect, open-mindedness, and a commitment to the truth. Unfortunately, Twitter is no longer the place where we can have those exchanges. Next year, new criminal offences for social media companies will be in effect under the new UK Online Safety Act, making content relating to “racially or religiously aggravated public order offences” and “inciting violence” illegal. We hope this legislation will bring about positive change. In the meantime, we’re active on Instagram again. Keep up with our Feed for community events and our Stories to see live updates.
