I hope you all are doing well and starting preparations for this holiday season. I just wanted to send along a short message this month. First, please be on the lookout for announcements of open, elected positions that we will need nominations for in the coming year. We will need to fill positions including the Vice President, Regents, and Committee Chairs. We are also looking to currently fill the position of Secretary/Treasurer which has been ably filled in the interim by Dr. Craig Datz. If you have an interest in finance and would like to volunteer for ABVP by filling that position or have a suggestion of a fellow Diplomate that would, please contact me. ABVP relies on volunteers and we are always in search of more. Secondly, and most importantly, I just wanted to give thanks. I am thankful for my ABVP family (BOD, COR, Committee Chairs and members, Marisa). I am lucky to lead a talented group of people and can’t thank them enough for the hours they put in for ABVP. I am also thankful for my own family. My wife, Wendy, and my daughters, Emma and Rachel, make it possible for me to do what I do while also helping me in my hobby of Jersey show cows. We are fortunate enough this Thanksgiving to be traveling to Maine to spend time with my 87-year-old father – I am looking forward to it regardless of travel issues. I deeply hope that all of you are able to share time this coming week with your loved ones. Safe travels and stay well. Hope life is good at your end of the barn, Jon In MemoriamIt is with great sadness we have recently learned of the passing of these amazing individuals. Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues of each. Drury R. Reavill, DVM, Diplomate (Emeritus) ABVP (Avian, Reptile and Amphibian), DACVP Michael H.
