Cancellation of Rockfall Alert - Flying Fish Cove

The Level 1 Rockfall Activation which was implemented on 16 November due to a rockfall at the boat launching carpark escarpment in Flying Fish Cove, has now ceased.

Activities in the area can now return to normal. However, please respond immediately to any future activations.

Emergency authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will respond as needed to any identified risks.

Physical barriers in the rockfall area will remain in place. No access behind berms or fences is permitted, with traffic control measures in place for the safety of everyone in the boat club and jetty area.

Again, with predictions of high rainfall and cyclone risk this year, the community is asked to review your storm preparedness safety plans.

The Territory Controller and I appreciate the ongoing cooperation of the community as we work to ensure your safety and protection.
