Governance Mentoring & Destination Content Opportunity

The Indian Ocean Territories Regional Development Organisation (IOT RDO) is pleased to announce two opportunities for community groups and creative professionals across Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

Governance Mentoring & Support for Community Groups

Following the recent Governance Essentials workshop delivered by Caroline Robinson (150Square), the IOT RDO and Cocos (Keeling) Islands CRC are now offering tailored governance mentoring and support across the Indian Ocean Territories.

This opportunity is open to all community groups, whether or not you attended the workshop.

Support may include:

• Committee mentoring and governance guidance
• Document and policy review
• Strategic planning support
• Practical advice to strengthen governance capability

This mentoring responds directly to needs identified during the workshop and supports committees in building strong, sustainable organisations.

Community groups interested in receiving support are invited to complete the short survey by 13 March 2026 to register their interest.

Expression of Interest – Destination Content Creation

The IOT RDO, in partnership with the Christmas Island Tourism Association (CITA) and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Tourism Organisation (CKITA), has opened an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Destination Content Creation across the Indian Ocean Territories.

We are seeking suitably qualified photographers and videographers to deliver high-quality imagery and short-form video content to support tourism promotion and regional storytelling.

EOI open: Monday, 2 March 2026
EOI close: Wednesday, 18 March 2026
Project completion required by: 30 June 2026

Applicants may apply for:

• Option 1 – Core Destination Content
• Option 2 – Cultural Event Capture
• Option 3 – Full Scope (Options 1 + 2 Combined)

The project will develop a contemporary visual content library that:

• Showcases the natural assets and marine environments of the IOT
• Highlights culture and authentic experiences
• Strengthens digital and marketing presence
• Supports local tourism operators
• Enhances the overall positioning of the Indian Ocean Territories
