Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary St Joseph’s: Outbreak Declared Over

I am pleased to inform residents and families that all tested Calvary St Joseph’s residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing. In line with Public Health Unit advice, we now are able to declare the outbreak over and lift the current visitation restrictions at Calvary St Joseph’s.

Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care Calvary St Joseph’s will welcome more visitors back into the home from 07 May 2022.

Information for visitors

  • Calvary St Joseph’s is open to visitors from 07 May 2022.
  • There is now no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visitation hours are between 11.00am - 1.30pm and 3.00pm - 4.30pm daily. This is to ensure all screening processes can be effectively completed prior to entry. Last visitor entry to the home is at 4.30pm, however visitors may stay later than this time.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including face mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  • As a precaution to keeping residents safe, visitors may be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • If you have any questions please speak with the home manager.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time, and very much look forward to receiving visitors back into the home. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sandeep Kandel,

General Manager Aged Care
