Celebrating Pride Month

June is Pride Month and it is another opportunity to celebrate and support Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer members of the Carleton community.

Celebrating National Indigenous History Month

During National Indigenous History Month, Carleton is celebrating the rich and diverse cultures, voices and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who are positively impacting the world.

Specialized Counselling Services Available

Carleton offers a variety of specialized counsellors to support you through your journey at Carleton: Indigenous, trans/2SLGBQ+, sexual assault and trauma, racialized and international. Students who wish to connect with a specific counsellor can make a request when booking an appointment or explore options at their intake session.

For all counselling services, including the specialized services described below, please call 613-520-6674 to make an appointment to speak with the Intake Counsellor.

Dr. L. Pauline Rankin Appointed as Provost and Vice-President (Academic)

Carleton’s Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Dr. L. Pauline Rankin, has been selected as Carleton University’s new Provost and Vice-President (Academic) for a five-year term, effective Monday, August 14, 2023. The appointment, made on the enthusiastic recommendation of the advisory committee, was approved by Carleton’s Board of Governors. Safer in the Sun: Tips for Safer Substance Use this Summer

Planning ahead and following Canada’s Low-Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines are just a couple of ways to reduce harm and be safer during this summer’s patio and party season. Visit the Current Students website for tips on how to reduce harm and stay safe this summer.

The Wellness website also contains useful information on Carleton-specific and public resources for people who use substances, are questioning their substance use and have a substance use disorder.

Applications Now Open for Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 Virtual Internships

The International Internship Program is now accepting applications for undergraduate students (of second year standing and higher) who are interested in participating in a virtual international internship experience in fall 2023 or winter 2024 terms. Past participants have interned virtually in places such as England, Italy, Australia, Ireland, Colombia and more!

First Version of Mobile App No Longer Supported

The first version of Carleton’s mobile app (CU Mobile) has been sunsetted and is no longer supported. Students will soon be unable to login or receive notifications. The community is encouraged to download the new Carleton Mobile app, which launched in January 2023, for all of the previous app’s functionality and more.

Carleton Mobile is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
