Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for residents & families of Calvary Robina Rise

Further to our communication yesterday, I am pleased to inform you that no additional positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected amongst residents on Level 1 in the latest round of testing. In line with Public Health Unit advice, the final COVID positive resident will be de-isolated as of tomorrow 16 February and Level 1 residents may then move freely about the home, including Ocean unit, Level 2 and Level 3 and participate in group activities as usual.

Our testing regime with residents will continue over the next few days, and we will update you with information as soon as it becomes available. We anticipate our next update to you will be at the end of the week.

Calvary Robina Rise remains in outbreak status in line with Public Health Unit direction, and as such the following visitation guidelines apply for visitors, consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care.

Updated information for visitors

  • One visitor per resident will be permitted entry to the home.
  • Visiting hours are from 9.00am – 8.00pm, Monday to Friday, with last entry to the building permitted at 4.30pm. This is to ensure all screening processes can be completed with our day staff.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including surgical mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary. Staff will assist you as appropriate.
  • Please book your visit by emailing kristi.cleland@japara.com.au
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, residents who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the home manager to discuss arrangements.

Booking your visit with your loved ones

  • Visitors must email kristi.cleland@japara.com.au to book their visit.
  • Visitors are asked to include the following information in their email: requested date and time, name and room number, visitors name with attached proof of vaccination.

You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.

Sincerely,

Cassandra Schwartz,

Acting General Manager Aged Care.
