Dear Resident and Family Members,

Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Oaklands

I am pleased to inform you that the positive resident at Calvary Oaklands has now been medically cleared, and upon liaising with the Public Health Unit, the exposure at Calvary Oaklands can be declared over.

Information for visitors

Visitation to the home remains the same, with some precautions in place to keep our staff, residents and their visitors as safe as possible. Please see below:

  • Visiting hours are between 9.00am and 5.00pm.
  • Two (2) visitors (partners in care) per resident, per day, will be permitted entry to the home.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, residents who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the home manager to discuss arrangements.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Ryan Midgley,

General Manager Retirement Communities SA - Aged Care
