Barnet Council's 'Money Worries' Campaign Across the UK, people are missing out on billions of pounds of benefits they are eligible for, simply because they didn’t know and haven’t made a claim.
Thanks to the Barnet Financial Calculator, the Council is now able to help residents find out if they are eligible for benefits. Users are asked to complete a short self-assessment, which then tells them what they are eligible for, as well as providing one-click access to proceed with making a claim.
For those who aren't eligible for benefits but are struggling to pay their bills, the Council's Cost of Living Support webpages offer a range of useful information and resources.
LBB Scrutiny Consultation 2024 In this consultation, the Council would like to hear from Barnet residents and businesses about the local issues and services which are important to them, their families, and their wider communities. This feedback will provide insight into the views of the local community and other stakeholders, and will help the Council to identify areas of concern. The work the Overview and Scrutiny Committees carry out each year helps to shape local services, and contributes to the wider policy objectives of the Council.
