COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary GYMPIE VIEWS

Further to our last communication, I am writing to inform you that an additional twelve (12) residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary Gympie Views. This brings the total number of COVID positive residents to twenty six (26). Six of these resident cases are no longer active. 

Staff are in contact with the COVID positive residents’ families and keeping them informed.

For the safety of residents and in line with Public Health Unit advice, the current restrictions remain in place and Gympie Views remains closed to visitors. Residents are currently isolating and receiving all care in their rooms. We are continuing to liaise closely with the Public Health Unit as to when the current restrictions can be eased.

Our next round of testing across all Calvary Gympie Views residents will be on 10 February 2022, and we will be in contact when these results become available. We anticipate our next communication to you will be towards the end of the week.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.
