This season is especially exciting in Texas and Colorado. In Texas, Blueprint delivered five projects creating 2,600 new student seats. And just a year and a half after launching Blueprint Colorado, our team has delivered eight projects creating 1,700 student seats—an exciting start to our work supporting Colorado’s public charter school communities. In this month’s newsletter, we’re highlighting a few of these milestones. In Texas, Cedars International Academy celebrated its new campus and The Museum School of East Dallas welcomed students after moving from facility search to opening in less than 12 months. In Colorado, Colorado International Language Academy marked the opening of its new home with a ribbon cutting, while in Oakland, Cox Academy reached another significant milestone in its ongoing campus transformation. These projects represent just a few of the schools and communities we’re proud to support. Each has its own story, challenges, and solutions, but all demonstrate what’s possible when dedicated school leaders and collaborative partners work together with a shared commitment to students. As we begin another school year, we’re grateful to the schools that trust Blueprint to help turn their facility visions into places where students can learn, grow, and thrive. And if you’re heading to the Texas Public Charter School Conference in Dallas next month, we hope to see you there! Warmly, John Sun FEATUREDRibbon Cutting: Cedars International Academy (TX)This month, Cedars International Academy celebrated the ribbon cutting for its new consolidated K–12 campus in Austin, marking an exciting milestone for the school community. Blueprint partnered with Cedars throughout the facility journey—from helping the school identify an affordable site to managing the construction and turnover process. Blueprint also invested $4 million in the project to help reduce Cedars’ debt service and create a more affordable long-term facility solution. Working with Equitable Facilities Fund (EFF), Blueprint secured below-market financing to purchase the facility on Cedars’ behalf. Cedars will lease the building at cost and has the option to purchase it within five years at the original price. The structure is expected to save Cedars approximately $2.5 million over the next five years, allowing more resources to remain focused on students and learning. The new 51,000-square-foot campus includes approximately 40 classrooms, a cafeteria and kitchen, and outdoor play space, creating a high-quality learning environment designed to serve students and educators for years to come. We’re proud to have worked alongside Cedars, EFF, and the broader project team to turn the school’s vision into an affordable, long-term home. Congratulations to the entire Cedars community on this exciting new chapter! Ribbon Cutting: Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) (CO)Last week, Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) celebrated the ribbon cutting for its new campus in Colorado Springs—an exciting milestone for the school and its community. Blueprint Colorado partnered with CILA to transform an approximately 37,000-square-foot existing facility into a new K–8 learning environment, helping the school create a permanent home designed to support its students, educators, and continued growth. The project was made possible through a collaborative financing approach, with Civic Builders providing the primary financing and Blueprint providing secondary financing, alongside Blueprint’s facility development expertise and project support. The ribbon cutting marked the culmination of months of planning, problem-solving, and collaboration—and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for CILA students and families. Congratulations to the entire CILA community, Civic Builders, and the many partners who worked together to make this new campus possible! HIGHLIGHTSThe Museum School of East Dallas Opens (TX)This month, The Museum School of East Dallas opened its doors, marking an exciting new chapter for students and families in East Dallas—and the culmination of a facility project completed on an ambitious timeline. Working alongside Founder Loren Coleman and The Museum School team, Blueprint helped identify a church facility with the potential to become a school and supported its transformation into a safe, compliant, and welcoming learning environment. Blueprint also helped secure funding to make the project possible. In less than 12 months, the project moved from facility search to opening day, demonstrating what creative problem-solving, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to students can accomplish. We’re proud to have helped The Museum School establish a home where its new school community can learn and grow. Congratulations to Loren, the school team, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life! Cox Academy's Campus Takes Shape (CA)This summer marked another major milestone in Education for Change Public Schools’ Cox Academy campus transformation in Oakland, as new modular classrooms were craned into place. Modular construction allows much of the building work to take place off-site while site preparation happens simultaneously, helping reduce construction time and minimize disruption to the school community. The crane set builds on significant progress across the campus. The first phase of the project has now been delivered and Cox Academy is fully operational, while work continues to complete the newly installed modular learning spaces. Blueprint’s Northern California team, including Executive Director Jennifer Afdahl Rice and Project Director Mary Grace Houlihan, was on site to see the classrooms placed and another important step in the project come to life. We’re proud to partner with Education for Change Public Schools and grateful for the collaboration of everyone working to create high-quality learning spaces for Cox Academy students. We look forward to seeing the next phase of the campus transformation take shape. EVENTS: Blueprint on the RoadTexas Public Charter School Conference 2026Blueprint is headed to Dallas!
