Dear Resident or Family Member,

Update for Residents and Families at Calvary Haydon

I am writing to inform you that three more residents in St Francis have tested positive to COVID-19. In line with ACT Public Health Unit advice, residents in St Francis will be required to remain in their rooms with strict infection control measures in place.

Visitation to St Francis household is currently suspended for another 48 hours.

  • St Teresa, Mary Potter and St Patricks household quarantine period will end midnight Thursday, 31 March 2022.
  • St Francis household residents will be restricted to and cared for in their rooms

A reminder for residents and families, that Calvary Haydon is open to visitors consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care. There are however, specific requirements to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible. Please see below.

Updated information for visitors

  • Calvary Haydon remains open to visitors across all households, excluding St Francis.
  • Visiting hours remain 9.00am – 5.00pm, with last entry permitted at 5.00pm. This is to enable all screening processes to be completed by our day staff.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting. Staff will assist as required.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,
