Daytime construction closures are in place at multiple locations across Marlborough. Please refer to each area's section for further information. Kenepuru:

Construction closures have been delayed in the Kenepuru on:
A new daytime construction closure is planned for Kenepuru Road, near Ohingaroa Bay from Monday 13 October. All work is subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of unsuitable conditions, work will be rescheduled to the next suitable workday. Changes to planned road closures will be sent via Antenno. Sign up to Antenno here. In the French Pass, retaining wall construction continues on Croisilles Road and Croisilles-French Pass Road under stop/go traffic management. On Archers Road in Tennyson Inlet, crews are progressing retreat and retaining wall work under a construction closure. Work has commenced under a construction closure on Moetapu Bay Road, and on Kenepuru Road prior to the Mahau Road intersection. Construction closures are in place next week on Kenepuru Road, near Broughton Bay, and on Elie Bay Road. Minor repairs are nearing completion on Titirangi Road, as crews continue to work back towards the Heads. On Port Underwood Road near Whatamango Bay, work is largely complete, and road marking is planned for next week. Crews continue to work on a slip on Northbank Road under stop/go traffic management. New road closures |

Please refer to each area's section for information on existing and delayed road closures on Kenepuru Road, Moetapu Bay Road, Te Mahia Road, and Elie Bay Road. During all planned road closures, emergency services will always be accommodated. Kenepuru Road - Ohingaroa Bay From Monday 13 October to mid-November, construction closures will be in place on Kenepuru Road, near Ohingaroa Bay, between property numbers 644 and 650. The closures are required for construction of a road retreat, shoulder repairs and culvert installation. The closures will be in place on weekdays, with openings on the hour:
School traffic will be provided access between the hours of 8.30am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm. French Pass |

On Croisilles Road approximately 1.2km before the Hope Drive/Wharf Road intersection construction of a mechanically stabilised earth (MSE) wall continues. This site is under stop/go traffic management. Please expect delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Work continues at several sites on Croisilles-French Pass Road. At approximately 2km past Okiwi Bay, work is progressing on the construction of an H-Pile retaining wall and drainage improvements. This week crews are augering, installing H piles and timber lagging, and starting to backfill. A MSE wall, approximately 1.5km prior to the Elaine Bay Road turnoff when travelling North is continuing with the concrete channel pour and a culvert installation occurring this week. Work on a second MSE wall, approximately 2km past the Elaine Bay turn off when travelling North also continues. Crews are completing the pavement preparation and swale dig out this week. Sealing will take place at this site in coordination with sealing on other sites along Croisilles-French Pass Road. All three sites are currently under stop/go traffic management, two of the three sites will be operational at the same time, with delays up to 15 minutes at each site. |

Work continues at several sites on Kenepuru Road between Linkwater and the Heads. At two adjacent sites approximately 3.3km before the Mahau Road turn-off shoulder repair and retaining wall construction continues. This week crews are auguring holes for the installation of railway irons and backfilling behind the wall. A construction closure is in place with openings on the hour:
Work may be undertaken outside of these days and times, including on Saturday, under stop/go traffic management with up to 15-minute delays. Approximately 2.5km before the Mahau Road turn-off, pavement preparation and chip sealing is being completed this week. Sealing is also underway on sections of the road 350m prior to, and at the Mahau Road intersection. This work is all being completed under stop/go traffic management with delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- This week crews have established at two sites on Kenepuru Road near Broughton Bay. Approximately 300m past the Mahau Road intersection, work has commenced on a shoulder rebuild and drainage improvements. At another site 200m prior to the Onahau Road turnoff, crews are excavating the road for the construction of a retaining wall. Both sites are under traffic management. Please expect minor delays. Work that was due to start this week on Kenepuru Road under a construction closure between property numbers 1503 and 1679 has been delayed until Monday 13 October. The closure will be in place from Monday 13 October to mid-December at the following times:
Work may be undertaken outside of these days and times, under stop/go traffic management with delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Work on Te Mahia Road continues under a road closure. This week crews are excavating the retreat, hydroseeding and completing the concrete pour for the kerb channel. The closures are scheduled on weekdays until late-October at the following times:
Work will be undertaken outside of these days and times, under stop/go traffic management with delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Construction closures continue at Portage Heights, located from Portage Resort for approximately 1km towards the Heads as work continues on several retaining walls. This week crews continue whaler installation and completing culvert headwalls. Closures are in place at the following times:
Crews have successfully removed material built up under the Portage jetty floating pontoon. --------------------------------------------------- Crews have completed the backfill behind the H-Pile retaining wall at Sandy Bay on Kenepuru Road. This week pavement preparation is underway. This site is under stop/go traffic lights with delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- On Kenepuru Road beyond the Heads, road retreat and drainage work continues at Fish Bay and at approximately 1km towards Waitaria Bay. These sites are under stop/go traffic lights with maximum wait times of 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Pavement rebuild, and drainage improvement work is nearing completion along Titirangi Road. Crews are now finishing minor remedial work from Titirangi Beach back towards the Heads on Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm under residents' access only. Residents should expect delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Work will recommence on Elie Bay Road on Wednesday 15 October under a road closure for the construction of a road retreat, drainage improvements and road reinstatement. The closure will be in place from Wednesday 15 October to Friday 17 October from 7am to 5pm. |

Work is underway on Moetapu Bay Road approximately 4.5km from the start of the road under a construction closure on:
The closure is required for the construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements and road reinstatement. Work may be undertaken outside of these dates and times under stop/go traffic management with up to 15-minute delays. |

Northbank |

Work continues under stop/go traffic management with possible delays of up to 30 minutes throughout the day, when rock debris is being cleared from the road. Between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday crews will continue to remove slip material. 30-minute delays may occur between 9am and 4pm and 5pm to 6pm. These delays are unable to be scheduled, as they're dependent on the amount of rock material that drops each time. No planned delays will occur between 7am and 9am and 4pm to 5pm. Outside of work times, the site will continue to operate under traffic lights with approximately 3-minute delays. There will be no crews on site on Saturday 11 October, traffic lights will be in place with approximately 3-minute delays. If the road is deemed unsafe at any time, the road will be closed and an update sent via Antenno and the Council’s website. When travelling near or past our work sites, please ensure you keep outside any fences or barriers for your safety. Please adhere to, and do not move any traffic or safety management in place (i.e. gated closures/cones/signs/traffic lights/barricades) for your own safety. |

Port Underwood |
||

On Port Underwood Road at Whatamango Bay the road reinstatement, chip seal and sight rail have been completed. Crews have also hydroseeded the retreat bank and clean fill site, alongside planting natives on an earth bund. The road is now open to both lanes. Road sweeping and line marking are planned for next week, pending favourable weather conditions. This work will be carried out from 7am to 5pm under stop/go traffic management with a 30km speed limit. Please expect delays of up to 15 minutes. --------------------------------------------------- Crews are continuing maintenance work on Port Underwood Road between Rarangi and Tumbledown Bay under stop/go traffic management. |

Kenepuru Road is open to the public, with overweight and overlength vehicle restrictions in place. Reduced speed limit signage and temporary traffic lights are in place at Portage Heights and approximately 500m beyond Nikau Cove (when travelling from Portage). Both sites have a 30km temporary speed limit in place. Please expect minor delays and follow all traffic management signage. Vehicle restrictions remain on Kenepuru Road from Linkwater to the Heads as follows: Vehicle RestrictionsVehicles up to 12.6m in length, and 6 tonne in weight can travel on Kenepuru Road and side roads. To apply for a permit for an over dimension vehicle to travel on Kenepuru Road, email recovery@marlboroughroads.com or call 0800 213 213. Other recovery roadsPlease be aware that on all roads, works may be in progress and/or traffic management in place. Please expect delays and follow all signage and traffic management.
