Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Noosa: Outbreak Declared Over

I am pleased to inform residents and families that all tested Calvary Noosa residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing. In line with Public Health Unit advice, we now are able to lift the current visitation restrictions at Calvary Noosa.

Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care Calvary Noosa will welcome more visitors back into the home from 28 April 2022.

Information for visitors

  • Calvary Noosa is open to visitors from 28 April 2022.
  • There is now no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day.
  • Visiting hours are from 9.00am – 8.00pm, seven days a week, with last entry to the building permitted at 4.30pm. This is to ensure screening processes can be completed with our day staff.
  • If you would like to visit the home outside these hours, please contact the Home Manager for approval.
  • All visitors will be supplied with the appropriate PPE (including face masks and shields as appropriate) to wear whilst visiting. Staff assist you with donning (putting on) and doffing (removing) PPE correctly.
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • If you have any questions please speak with the Home Manager.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time, and very much look forward to receiving more visitors back into the home.

You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Cassandra Schwartz,

Acting General Manager Aged Care
