NRB Joins Amicus Brief in Foote v. Ludlow School Committee 

This Monday, the NRB came alongside 30 other organizations as amici in a brief before the Supreme Court of the United States in support of parents’ First Amendment rights.  

The case, ​​Foote v. Ludlow School Committee, centers around two parents who sued their Massachusetts school district after learning that school officials were having secretive conversations with their eleven- and twelve-year-old children about their gender identity, and were addressing their children with different names and pronouns at school while concealing these actions from the parents.

NRB has long been a staunch supporter of AM radio, anticipating and responding to challenges in the business and regulatory environment.  

The next challenge: a move to eliminate AM radio capabilities in new electric vehicles.

Statement of NRB President & CEO on Newsmax, DirecTV Distribution Agreement 

Troy A. Miller, President & CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) association, has issued the following statement in response to the news that NRB member Newsmax has reached an agreement with DirecTV that will return the Newsmax channel to DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, and U-verse on March 23, 2023: 

“NRB goes to bat for our members. When we learned of the removal of Newsmax from DirecTV’s satellite platform, NRB immediately turned out to support Newsmax through media and advocacy channels. We’re delighted by the announcement that Newsmax will be back on DirecTV platforms tomorrow thanks to a resolution between Newsmax and DirecTV to resume carriage under mutually agreeable terms. The NRB association exists to maintain access for faith-driven communicators and preserve diversity in programming. We’re pleased to see an outcome that benefits viewers who seek conservative, faith-friendly television that aligns with their point of view.”
