F1® and Make-A-Wish Granting Unique Wish Experiences at Racetracks Around the World
As the Formula 1® racing season 2025 kicked off in Melbourne, Australia, we are looking back on what was an incredible year for our partnership with Formula 1. Thanks to the unwavering commitment and generosity of Formula 1, in 2024, we have granted over 50 unique F1 wishes to children with critical illness, allowing them to attend races, meet their favourite drivers or teams, and explore the behind-the-scenes of F1. For many children diagnosed with a critical illness offering them a unique F1® Wish Experience during their treatment fuels hope, strength, and motivation, positively impacting their mental and physical health. Thank you F1 for your incredible support and here's to many more wishes in 2025!
Introducing Make-A-Wish Tanzania
In February, we welcomed Make-A-Wish Tanzania to the Make-A-Wish team, and our first member in Africa!
Make-A-Wish Tanzania will be run as a program of Tumaini La Maisha (TLM), a charity dedicated to ensuring access to quality services for children with cancer in Tanzania. TLM treats approximately 1,000 children with cancer annually across multiple sites in Tanzania, though the need remains great, with an estimated 4,500 children currently affected by cancer.
Make-A-Wish is now present in almost 50 countries and territories and has granted more than 615,000 wishes worldwide, transforming the lives of children and their families.
Supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals
We recognize the significant impact our organization can have on the environment, society, and future generations. Therefore, we are committed to a more sustainable world for our wish children. Our Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy focuses on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Key priorities include promoting good health and well-being (SDG3), responsible consumption and production (SDG12), peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG16), and fostering partnerships for the goals (SDG17). Through these efforts, we aim to enhance well-being, ensure ethical practices, and drive sustainable development.
Color for Wishes
Happy Color is bringing the magic of wishes to life through coloring! Through a special in-app campaign, users can engage with inspiring wish stories while learning more about Make-A-Wish.

Sotiria's Wish To Have A Mermaid Bedroom
During this year's Wish Insider, we are honored to introduce you to Sotiria, who was recently granted a wish through our affiliate, Make-A-Wish Greece.
The Wish Capture:
When we first met Sotiria, she was in the midst of fighting her brave battle against leukemia. She was a smiling, brilliant and courageous girl. She was full of dreams, and she loved mermaids and the magical world of the sea. Her biggest wish was to have a mermaid room, but she had to be patient for some more time, as she was still undergoing treatments and the family was preparing to move into a new house.
It was during this time that our wish grantors got to work planning Sotiria's wish journey, including many surprises along the way...
