Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident Family Member,

Additional case at Calvary Cessnock household

I am writing to inform you that unfortunately there has been an additional positive case detected overnight amongst residents of the Elrington household at Calvary Cessnock.

This brings the number of positive cases currently to two (2) residents. Staff are in contact with the families of both residents and keeping them informed.

For the safety of residents and to help stop the spread of infections, the restrictions reintroduced yesterday remain in place and the residents are isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

We are continuing to liaise with the Hunter New England Public Health Unit about the next steps and testing requirements, and will update you again later this week as more information becomes available.

Although restrictions have been lifted for residents of the five other households in the Nulkaba group, all remain closed for general visitation until the public health unit deems it safe to reopen.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please also contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Bryan McLoughlinRegional CEO – NSW & QLD
