Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary The Homestead

Further to our recent update, we are pleased to inform residents and families that all residents of Calvary The Homestead have now received negative results from the latest round of testing.

This means we now are able to lift the restrictions at Calvary The Homestead, Residents will be able to move around the Home and out of isolation and visitors will be permitted entry, subject to guidelines.

Are visitors allowed?

Calvary The Homestead will reopen to visitors from 13 January 2022. Opening hours are currently 10am – 6pm Monday to Sunday.

One single nominated visitor will be permitted per resident during the Home’s visiting hours, due to the heightened risk of infection and community transmission. This will be in place until further notice. All visits must be taken in resident rooms only.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the Manager of your Home to discuss arrangements.

What happens now?

As a precaution, our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We thank residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

We are also very grateful that families continue to work with us so generously to ensure the safety of your loved ones in our care, and look forward to receiving visitors back into the Home.

Yours sincerely,

Ryan Midgely, General Manager Aged Care
