5G Course Publication Wins AwardA recent publication from the Ericsson-Carleton partnership 5G course has won the Best Presentation Award at the 2024 IEEE 13th International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems. This study introduces the MPPK/DSTK algorithm, a cutting-edge digital signature that offers superior security against attacks, marking a significant step toward safeguarding digital communications in the quantum era. Amy Hinchey, a master’s student at NPSIA specializing in Intelligence and International Affairs (IIA) & Cybersecurity, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 WiDS-CGAI Fellowship!
The WiDS-CGAI Fellowship, a collaboration between the Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI) and Women in Defence & Security (WiDS), provides professional development opportunities to support the careers of women in defence and security. Through this fellowship, Amy will have access to mentorship, research and analysis opportunities with CGAI, as well as access to their extensive publications and resources.
WiDS works to promote and support the advancement of women in careers related to Canadian defence and security industries. The WiDS-CGAI Fellowship is awarded to outstanding female graduate and post-graduate students through the WiDS Annual Memorial Scholarship Process.
