Boosting energy efficiency on campus

The Siebens Drake Research Institute is the latest campus building to undergo retrofitting through Western’s Deep Energy Retrofit Program, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and connecting to the university’s energy loop.

To address accessibility and capacity challenges at Alumni Hall, convocation ceremonies will move to Canada Life Place for the next five years while a long-term on-campus solution is explored.

WWI postcard project reaches hundreds of schools

History professor Jonathan Vance’s First World War postcard project has sent over 10,000 replica postcards to schools across Canada, helping students connect with local wartime history.

Twenty-six talented high school students participated in the Don Wright Faculty of Music's vocal competition, gaining valuable insights from faculty members, students and visiting musicians.
