NRB Announces 2024 Special Service and Media Award Recipients

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NRB) – The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) has announced the recipients of the 2024 Special Service and Media Awards, which recognize and honor the most outstanding ministries, organizations, programs, and producers within the world’s leading association of Christian communicators.

“The NRB Special Service and Media Awards showcase the exceptional talent and commitment to service among NRB members,” said NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller. “We look forward to honoring these awardees at the 2024 NRB Convention for their accomplishments in the field of Christian communications.”

Museum of the Bible Names Carlos Campo, Ph.D., as Next CEO

Carlos Campo, Ph.D., president of Ashland University and Ashland Theological Seminary since 2015, will join the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., as its CEO on June 17, 2024. 

“Dr. Campo’s tenure at Ashland is leaving an impact for years to come, and we look forward to seeing how God will use him as CEO of Museum of the Bible,” said NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller. “We congratulate him on his next leadership role and commend his commitment to Christian service.”

Campo’s tenure at Ashland University leaves a significant imprint on the university’s future. Among numerous key accomplishments, Campo oversaw a tremendously fruitful fundraising campaign that yielded more than $100 million for the school—double its original goal—resulting in state-of-the-art construction, renovation, and more.

Campo will be accompanied in the transition by Aaron Ross, Ph.D., who currently serves as chief of staff at Ashland University and will become chief of staff at the Museum of the Bible.

NRB Member Announces Animated Film with Cutting-Edge Technology

On November 30, in Washington, D.C., The Jesus Film Project, a ministry of NRB member Cru, announced an upcoming film project that will beautifully and artistically animate the life of Christ for young audiences.

Scheduled to debut worldwide in December 2025, this animated film will offer a state-of-the-art visual treatment of the life of Jesus as depicted in the New Testament.
