Click here 11 February 2022 Dear Resident and Family Members, COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families at Calvary Riverside Views Further to our last communication, I am writing to let you know that unfortunately an additional two (2) positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected amongst residents in the Valley household at Calvary Riverside Views in the latest round of testing. Staff have been in contact with the COVID positive resident’s family. Calvary Riverside Views remains closed to visitors until Monday 14 February 2022 and all resident’s will remain in and be cared for in their rooms for now. Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care, which took effect from 9 February 2022, allows visits for residents in all circumstances, including when a home is experiencing an outbreak and is in lockdown. There are, however, specific requirements to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible, as outlined below. Whilst Calvary Riverside Views status is still classified as in outbreak in line with Public Health Unit advice, the home may receive one visitor per resident as per our new Position Statement, from Monday 14 February 2022. Please read the information for visitors below. Updated information for visitors
Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, residents who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the home manager to discuss arrangements. Our testing regime with residents will continue over the next few days, and we will update you with information as soon as it becomes available. We anticipate our next update to you will be after the weekend. Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.
