BURNLEY LIVE 2026: HEADLINE ACTS REVEALED AND HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Burnley's biggest free music festival, Burnley Live, is back from 1st - 4th May 2026 and the first headliners at this year's event have just been announced! Taking to the main stage on Saturday 2nd May will be Ian McSherry, The Rude Boyz, Supernova, Marching Bones and Complete Control (at 9pm at Remedy). While on Sunday 3rd May, the main stage headliners will include On Edge, The Vibe, Skafull, Jeramiah Ferrari and Roadkill Revival (at 9pm at Penny Black). There are lots of opportunities for BID members to get involved in this event including hosting musicians at your venue or offering special Burnley Live offers throughout the weekend. To help promote the event we are publishing a printed Burnley Live guide that will be distributed across the town. If you have any activities, offers or promotions on between Friday 1st March and Monday 4th May please send these to us for inclusion in the guide by Friday 6th March by filling in the form below. Any submissions after this date will be included on the dedicated page on the Discover Burnley website. Owners of vintage and performance vehicles are being invited to take centre stage at 2026’s Burnley’s Vintage and Performance Car Show with registration now officially open. Filled with horsepower, history and high-octane entertainment, this unique event roars back into action on Saturday 12th September 2026 and offers a unique opportunity for motor enthusiasts to showcase their prized machines to thousands of visitors in Burnley town centre. Organised by Burnley Business Improvement District (BID) with support from The Rotary Club of Burnley, the event is set to add to the vibrant town centre atmosphere, where attendees can explore local shops, cafes and restaurants. With record entries expected, owners of vintage and performance vehicles, including motorcycles, are encouraged to register early for a chance to exhibit at this highly anticipated show. We’d like to congratulate Chef Muhammad Muir from Aroma Asian Restaurant on Church Street, who has been named Best Chef in the UK at the Nations' Curry Awards for 2026. This isn't the only win for the town this month - The Royal Dyche on Yorkshire Street has also just been named the Best Pub in Lancashire at the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2026. A huge congratulations to both establishments for their incredible and well-deserved achievements. WORLD BOOK DAY: COSTUME APPEAL AT DOWN TOWN 🦸♂️ Do you or a member of your team have any children's costumes that have been grown out of but are still in great condition? You can donate them to Burnley Together ahead of World Book Day on 5th March 2026, and help ensure every child across Burnley can join in the fairytale magic of story books this year. The team are accepting clean, wearable costumes, which can be donated at Down Town located above New Look in Charter Walk. NATWEST: SUPPORTING BURNLEY BUSINESSES 🏦 NatWest are offering a range of support for Burnley BID members. These include: Financial Foundations - A series of free, interactive group workshops designed to help adults build confidence and knowledge around money. The sessions are delivered by trained NatWest colleagues and encourage open, supportive conversations about financial wellbeing. Financial Health Check In The Worksite - This initiative is aimed at supporting business employees with their financial wellbeing. The Financial Health Checks are one‑to‑one conversations with a trained Senior Personal Banker from NatWest, focused on exploring an individual’s financial goals, needs and future plans. Did you know that 1 in 2 small businesses in the UK suffered a cyber attack or breach last year? Lancashire Constabulary are working in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), to help businesses strengthen their cyber security through a six week campaign, delivered in collaboration with the Lancashire Cyber Crime Unit. One of the key offers within this campaign is a free 30-minute session with a Cyber Advisor, helping businesses understand the practical steps required to achieve Cyber Essentials certification. The programme runs until 31st March 2026, so we would encourage BID businesses to take advantage of this free support while it is available. GET A FREE NHS HEALTH CHECK IN BURNLEY 🩺 If you’re aged 40 - 74, you’re entitled to a FREE NHS Health Check - and a mobile clinic is coming to Burnley on Friday 27th March. Even if you’re feeling fit and well, once you’re over 40 you may be at increased risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. An NHS Health Check can help spot early signs and give you practical advice to reduce your risk and stay healthy for longer. The mobile clinic will be located outside One Beyond from 10am - 3.30pm. Nominations are now open for the Burnley Business Awards organised by Burnley Council, which will be held on 9th July 2026 at Towneley Hall. Organised independently by Burnley Council, the awards are free to enter and this year sees the introduction of three new categories: Micro business, Not-for profit and Environmental, Social and Governance. Burnley Borough Council is hosting a Business Survey and they want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to share what it’s like to be a business in the area. From performance and premises to staffing and support, your response to this survey is really important. The findings will be used to shape how the council support local businesses in the future. The survey should take around 5 minutes to complete and is being delivered by PS Research, an independent research service, in partnership with Burnley Borough Council. For each completed survey, £1 will be donated to Down Town (up to £500). Down Town is a vital community hub in Burnley offering support, advice and guidance on budgeting, benefits, employment, housing and more - helping local people get the support they need.
