Be aware: motorists and cyclists travel single file

All traffic travelling southbound on the Springs Road temporary road, including cars, heavy vehicles, motorcyclists and cyclists are required to travel single file.

The temporary speed limit is set at 30 km/h and merging signs are in place, indicating cyclists and motorists are expected to merge and travel single file.

This is accepted best-practice and the safest way for traffic to travel in narrow corridors through road works.

By early 2020, once all traffic is transferred in stages onto the Springs Road Bridge, the temporary roads will be removed and pavement works will continue underneath, including completion of the shared path.

Please note: Traffic management on Springs Road, including provision for cyclists and pedestrians, will change during construction staging. Please watch out for these changes and follow all onsite signage.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation.
