Welcome to Ansley Insights, a monthly-ish email from yours truly and Ansley Corporate Entertainment. As the warmer weather returns, so does the travel. I'm feeling the "Corporate Entertainer and Trainer" life because I'm really hitting the road (and skies) in April. Here are some highlights from March...
And there's more excitement planned for April... 1. First stop: Denver, CO to deliver a two-day, customized training of "The Art of Powerful Presentations." This training is designed to help ensure my client's sales team is really nailing their client-facing, group sales presentations and standing out from their competition. Could your team benefit from public speaking and presentation skills training? Learn more here. 2. Next stop: Las Vegas, NV to emcee the SHRM Talent Conference & Expo! No biggie, just TWO THOUSAND (not a typo!) attendees getting the latest updates on recruiting and retaining the best talent. I'll be engaging the crowd, hosting intentional networking sessions, and introducing speakers on the main stage. DJ Jeff with Soulful Sounds is joining me to amp up the crowd in style. Fun Fact: DJ Jeff and I "met online" (his wife loves that joke!) in a networking group and even hosted several virtual events together before realizing we live in the same neighborhood - small world. 3. Final stop: Orlando, FL to emcee a company conference for over 500! This client has grown their division from 150 to 500+ people(!) since their last conference, which I also emceed. So it'll be a real treat to see some familiar faces along with so many new ones. We're focusing on creating a thoughtful, energizing atmosphere to encourage the team to connect, engage and learn from each other. Speaking of connecting audiences... Part of an emcee's job is to help make sure the audience is engaged, and a great way to achieve this is to encourage them to meet and interact with each other - watch the video below for more insights. ~ Lauren Ansley, Founder & Chief Entertainment Officer Do It Yourself Icebreaker - If you find yourself attending an event where you would like to meet people, but there's no designated time for an icebreaker, you can host a quick one yourself.
