Bridge beam installation on QEII Drive

We have completed the foundation work for the QEII Drive bridge and are ready to place the beams. This will happen from Friday 13 December for three nights. We need to do this work at night due to the high traffic volumes on QEII Drive during the day.

While we lift and place each beam over QEII Drive, traffic in both directions will be stopped for up to 15 minutes. We don’t expect all 11 beams to take 15 minutes each, however please expect delays, and if you can, avoid the area over these three nights.

Cranford Street night work

On Monday night 9 December, the crew will asphalt on Cranford Street and Innes Road in front of Kidd’s Cakes and Bakery. Nearby residents will hear the noise from the machinery and the crew working at night.

From Sunday evening/night 15 December to Tuesday night 17 December, we will install the new, and remove the old traffic signals on all corners of the Cranford/Innes intersection. We will then commission the new street light poles and new traffic signals hanging over the road.  Traffic on Cranford Street and Innes Road intersection will shift lanes.

Planting on CNC with Papanui Primary School

This week we welcomed students from Papanui Primary School onto our site.  They came to help us plant some of the 800,000 natives that will make up our landscaping and learn a bit about the project and why we are planting so many plants.

We all had a great time out of the classroom (or office).

Thank you Papanui Primary - you guys are awesome :-)
