“I wanted to take this opportunity to pass on my best wishes to everyone at Christmas.
During my first few months at Paradigm I’ve really enjoyed meeting more and more customers and hearing from you what you value from our services. I’ve been impressed with some of the services we provide - and I have also set the wheels in motion to make improvements where needed.
We have already set up a Homeowner Services Team to improve our services to homeowners and have also used all the feedback we get from you to create new Customer Care Standards setting our commitment to how we will treat you when we provide services – you can see them here.
You’ll be hearing more in the coming months about further changes we have planned but, in the meantime, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas."

Contacting us over Christmas
All our offices will be closed from Friday 24 December 2021 at 3pm until Tuesday 4 January 2022 at 8am.
We will of course still be available for you to raise emergency repair requests during this period.
Emergency repairs include:
- no heating or hot water which we will respond to within 24 hours
- a flood or an uncontainable leak
- a situation that is posing a health and safety risk to you and your family
- complete blockage to the only toilet in your home.
If you can smell gas or suspect a gas leak, please call Cadent on 0800 111 999.
If you experience a total loss of power or water supply, please contact your local provider in the first instance.
If you have a fire in your property, please dial 999 immediately and when you are able to please contact us for support.

Helping to keep your energy costs down
With energy prices rising, we are doing everything we can to ensure we provide the best value for money for your communal energy charges.
If you live in a block with communal areas, you will see a line on your service charge statement for communal energy (Heating/Lighting). We buy all our energy through expert energy buyers who help control costs. This means we have been able to protect customers against the steep increases being seen elsewhere.
We are working with sustainability experts to drive improvements and to reduce consumption through the installation of smart meters in communal areas.
Paradigm donates £10,000 to local foodbanks
We know that many people continue to struggle and some of our customers rely heavily on food banks as a lifeline to help feed their families.
We are pleased to donate £10,000 to foodbanks in areas where we have most customers - Buckinghamshire, Welwyn & Hatfield, Watford, Broxbourne, Hillingdon, Luton and Milton Keynes

Handy tips
Getting winter ready
Some handy tips to help this winter...
Keep your home safe:
- check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors work
- if you have a real Christmas tree, water it regular to reduce flammability
- consider using battery operated candles instead of real ones
- only put microwave safe items in microwaves. Avoid leaving them unattended
Get your car winter ready:
- check screen wash levels, tyre pressure etc
- keep an emergency kit handy which includes things like warm clothing, high visibility vests and an emergency triangle
Keep warm and hydrated:
- heat your home or the room you are in to at least 18 degrees
- we often drink less in cold weather so drink plenty of warm drinks and soup
Stay active:
- investigate your local authority’s website for information on local activities and classes, some of which may be free
- get active outside especially when the sun is shining to help vitamin D absorption.
