FLYER CORRECTION:

PCP Gala 2023 is November 11th!

PCP Gala 2023 will be held Saturday November 11th, 7-11 PM at Galdo's (1933 W Moyamensing Ave). Tickets are $25 for PCP faculty/staff and students and $64 for guests. Ticket includes dinner, dancing, 3 drink tickets for beer/wine (ID required), photo booth.

On October 13th tickets will go on sale open for P1-P4, U3/U4 PharmTox and PharmSci students, faculty and staff (and their guests). On October 23rd, tickets will open to U1 and U2 PCP students (and guests). Final Deadline for all ticket sales is November 1st. Tickets for students, faculty and staff are discounted thanks to the generosity of PCP alumni and friends. Posted by Dean Foote. 10/9

Student Poster Presentations - Hosted by the Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists

Interested in polishing your presentation development skills as well as working closely with a preceptor on novel and important topics in health-system pharmacy? Any pharmacy student can participate in having the opportunity to present a poster presentation on a clinical topic of their choice. Poster presentations will take place November 16th 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Temple University. This is a great opportunity to work with an advisor/preceptor who will help you develop your presentation! If interested, poster title submissions can be submitted via the button below. 10/9

Medical Spanish Club Meeting!

Please attend Medical Spanish Club's next meeting on Monday, October 9th, from 6:30-7:30 PM in LLC 102. We will be going over medical terminology and doing an activity! PCP-SSHP Clinical Skills Competition

Interested in showing off your clinical skills? Sign up below for the PCP-SSHP Clinical Skills Competition on October 11th and October 12th, from 6-8 pm via Zoom to showcase your and a partner's knowledge in completing a clinical patient case.

The winning team will represent PCP at the national clinical competition AND get $2000 in travel support from PCP to attend ASHP Midyear! All students within the professional PharmD curriculum are encouraged to participate. Undergraduate and professional students may participate as a proctor for the virtual event to still get involved! 10/2

Join APhA and PPA for a P4 APPE Round Table Event on Thursday Oct. 12 at 5:30pm in STC 337. This is a great way for students to learn more about APPE rotations from P4 students themselves, help you prepare for APPEs, and ask them questions. Hear from P4s Vaidehi Patel, Crystal Lam, Jubin Saji, and Abdallah Elbready on their rotation experiences and tips for success! Kenvue Industry Day Site Visit!

In celebration of American Pharmacists Month, on October 17th from 12:30pm-4pm APhA-ASP has collaborated with Kenvue Ft. Washington Site (formerly known as J&J Consumer Health) to host an Information Panel Event with PharmD professionals! This event is a great way for students to learn about the different functional areas within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically from the perspective of the professionals at Kenvue. It is also a great networking opportunity for students to talk with the professionals/fellows one-on-one. The event will take place at the Kenvue Ft. Washington Site and transportation will not be provided. This event is open to all P1-P4 Pharmacy students. Please register by clicking the button below to confirm your attendance at the event. NJSHP Mentor Mentee Program: students interested in becoming a mentor/ mentee please review

The NJSHP New Practitioner Council is offering a mentorship program for interested members. The intention of this program is to match those interested in being mentors with a mentee in the state of NJ based on interests and specialties. The deadline to complete this survey is October 31, 2023. Once the survey information is gathered, matches will be made and emailed by the end of November 2023. Self-Study Draft Review Sessions open to SJU Community

SJU is in the midst of its institutional self-study as part of the re-accreditation process for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). On Monday, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. there will be an opportunity for the UC community to provide input on the draft document. Both events are held at the ARC MPR. PPA Eastern Regional Meeting at PCP!

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association's Eastern Regional Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 9am to 1pm at our very own campus! This meeting is geared towards students and new practitioners with opportunities to network with potential employers and residency programs. Find the event schedule and link to register using the button. There will be a $25 registration fee, and $20 will be reimbursed from the Dean's office to students who attend.
