Intended programme for next week (weather dependent, therefore subject to change)

Owens Place  A contra flow remains in place during pavement works in the verge next to HomeZone. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 27 January to Saturday 2 February 2019. Nights & days: ongoing.

Matapihi Road A pedestrian diversion is in place near Golf 360 during water relocation works. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 27 January to Friday 1 February 2019. Nights & days.

SH2 - northbound Truck and trailer movements through site access points to move construction plant and deliver materials. No traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 29 January to Friday 1 February 2019. Days: 9am to 4pm.

Matapihi Road - HomeZone HomeZone public carpark entrance closed during pavement works. Vehicles to use Owens Place entrance. Weather dependent. No traffic delays are expected. Tuesday 29 January to Friday 1 February 2019. Days & nights.

SH2 – both directions Semi statics will be in place while blacking-out old line marking. No traffic delays are expected. Wednesday 30 January 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.


Advanced notice of significant works

SH2 - northbound Semi statics will be deployed at the Te Maunga intersection during removal of street lights. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February 2019.
Nights: 7pm to 6am.

SH2 - northbound Semi statics will be deployed while completing the tie-in between the new and existing road, from Jackson Street to Concord Ave. Very weather dependent. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Matapihi Road Lane closures will be in place between SH2 and the rail crossing to asphalt the new section of road. Very weather dependent. Minor traffic delays are expected. Monday 4 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Long-term traffic management

• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.

• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.

• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.

• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for about 18 months. Resident only access.

• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.
