VAULTERS PUT ON A SHOW AT COMPETITION AND CLINIC

It was a spectacular day of action as the EA senior vaulting competition and virtual clinic took place at Brookleigh last Saturday.

The competition saw four senior vaulters compete on two horses, lunged by Kay and Lorraine - with all involved putting on dazzling displays of skill and technique.

Following the competition, a virtual clinic was held via Pixem, with Darryn Fedrick, Level 3 FEI Vaulting Judge and owner of Fassifern Vaulting Club the guest coach.

The clinic saw 10 EA vaulters work on the canter mount. Darryn was excellent with fresh exercises on the horse and barrel, making the vaulters work hard with a bit of fun thrown in as well.

The future of vaulting looks bright in WA, so stay tuned for more exciting news and updates in the future.

HELP OUT TREES FOR ANIMALS THIS SUNDAY IN BECKENHAM

Animal Aid Abroad (AAA) was grateful for the invitation to attend the equine Gastric disease seminar hosted by Tania Sundra (Avon Ridge Equine) at the SEC on 15 June. Tania’s invitation allowed us the opportunity to share some of what we do with the participants and raise funds on the evening. Our thanks to Tania and the SEC for hosting such a well attended and successful event.

A huge thankyou also to all of the attendees who donated, purchased or expressed interest on the night.

We heard some touching stories from attendees on the evening who are obviously passionate about the welfare of animals. That is why we thought that our upcoming event in Beckenham this Sunday 3 July might be of interest to EWA members.

This unique event will have two beneficiaries:

  • The Beckenham Community from the revegetation of fire affected land; and
  • The drought affected working animals in Africa, India and Nepal.

Please let us know if you are able to help by volunteering your time to plant trees in Beckenham by Friday 1 July via info@animalaidabroad.org

*Please note - the venue for this tree planting event has been changed to Beckenham due to circumstances outside our control.*

Visit the Animal Aid Abroad website to find out more about this event in Beckenham and to learn more about how you can get involved in the work we do!

You can also help by donating securely via our website or by contacting our Treasurer Yvette via yvette@animalaidabroad.org to arrange to pay by credit card over the phone or for bank account details to pay directly to our bank.

All funds raised go towards growing trees for shad and food crops for working animals affected by drought in Africa, as well as funding a bore, water troughs and buckets for working and other animals in India and Nepal.
