From the Rutherglen Visitor Information CentreHello everyone,
The Victorian and ACT Labour Day long weekend is almost upon us and the region is gearing up for a huge weekend filled with food, wine, art, live music and family friendly fun. With Tastes of Rutherglen, Tastes of Art, and so many local experiences on offer, there’s truly something for everyone. Recent maintenance in the Visitor Centre courtyard has made the space noticeably more welcoming for our visitors. The paving has been refreshed with new sand, and the previously broken brick edging has now been repaired. The patio cover sheets will also be replaced soon, and the new coverings will brighten the space and improve comfort for everyone using the courtyard. These improvements help ensure the centre continues to feel inviting,
well‑maintained, and ready to greet visitors to our region. Farewell and Welcome at Gelatina Thank you to Tina and Steve from Gelatina for bringing Rutherglen and the surrounding region what many of us believe is the best gelato in the world. Your passion, creativity and kindness have meant so much to the community, and your presence has been a cherished part of local life. We wish you all the very best in your retirement. Congratulations to the new owners, Greg and Elise. We look forward to meeting you and to enjoying your gelato for many years to come as you continue this much‑loved local tradition. Have a wonderful fortnight ahead. The Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre team
