Using the BJA CVI Checklist as a framework, the series will walk through the stages of planning and implementation of CVI strategies and take a deeper dive into promising practices. When: Thursday, August 25, 2022 MCCA ReportMidyear Violent Crime Report Published by the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), this midyear report contains data from various agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada comparing topics such as homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault incidents. Most notably, from 2021–2022, incidents of robbery in major U.S. cities increased from 53,212 to 60,175 and aggravated assault from 152,760 to 156,735. Major cities in Canada saw an increase in all reported categories from 2021–2022. FBI Press Release Operation Cross Country 2022 Recovers Trafficking Victims Published by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), this press release discusses Operation Cross Country, a coordinated operation among the FBI, other federal agencies, state and local police, and social services agencies across the country to find and assist victims of human trafficking, particularly child victims.
