Waverley Council’s Small Grants Program brings ideas to life
Waverley Council is awarding $43,938 in Small Grants to 14 individuals and organisations to help make Waverley an even better place for the community. The latest Small Grants Program funding will be used to deliver a range of exciting local projects including community gardens, dancing for people with Parkinson’s and support services for Jewish LGBTQI+
youth.

Welcome Eastside Radio to Bondi Pavilion
Waverley Council is delighted to announce that it has awarded the license to operate the community radio studio at Bondi Pavilion to local broadcaster Eastside Radio 89.7FM. Eastside Radio was established more than 40 years ago and around 90,000 listeners tune in to its arts and news programs each week.

Bondi Junction Cycleway opening event
Join us next Tuesday, 14 June at Spring Street, Bondi Junction (opposite the entrance to Eastgate) to celebrate the official opening of the Bondi Junction Cycleway from Bondi Road to St James Road.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting with Mayor Paula Masselos will be followed by refreshments and free rides along the cycleway run by Cycling Without Age.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of opening the 2022 Waverley Youth Art Prize – Science, Space and Future Stories at Waverley Library.
We celebrated nearly 100 young artists who shared with us their visions of the future. Congratulations to all our award recipients. Be sure to visit the exhibition at Waverley Library before June 27 to vote for the People’s Choice Prize.
