NSO Calendar

Hello Quakers!

We hope your NSO experience has been going well! Today's schedule features one of Penn's great NSO traditions: The 31st Penn Reading Project. We do have a change for Friday’s PRP schedule due to weather.

Penn Reading Project Small Group Discussions (Location Change)
Instead of meeting on Penn Commons at 1pm (Groups 1-60) and 3pm (Groups 61-120) students should go directly to their classroom listed under “8/27 – PRP Small Group Location” (see below) on the PHINS Group Look-Up.

Use the addresses and map below to find your building:

  • Chemistry Laboratories 1973 Wing (CHEM) - 231 South 34th Street
  • David Rittenhouse Labs (DRLB) - 209 South 33rd Street
  • Fagin Hall (Fagin) - 418 Curie Boulevard
  • Fisher Bennett Hall (BENN) - 3340 Walnut Street
  • Meyerson Hall (MEYR) - 210 South 34th Street
  • Williams Hall (WILL) - 255 S. 36th Street

PHINS Orientation Group Look-Up
If you are unsure of what group you are in, please visit the online PHINS Orientation Group Look-Up. This site provides information on your PHINS Orientation Group and mandatory meeting times and locations throughout NSO.

Masks & PennOpen Pass Daily Symptom Checks
Please wear a mask at all orientation events. Additionally, all students are now required to complete PennOpen Pass daily symptom checks. You may be asked to show a Green Pass at orientation events, so fill out your daily symptom check here.

For today’s weather, we are expecting a hot, humid day with a high of 91 degrees and a 50% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Events marked [M] are mandatory. Please note that failure to attend mandatory events where attendance is taken, could result in a hold being placed on your spring 2022 registration.

If you have any questions or would like more information about any NSO programs, look for our well-trained volunteers, the PHINS, all around campus in light blue and dark blue t-shirts, visit www.nso.upenn.edu or email us provost-nso-ai@pobox.upenn.edu.
