Check it out HERE! ![]() Events and General Announcements PCP Gala 2023 Ticket Information! Tickets for PCP Gala 2023 are now on sale! The dance is Thursday, April 6th. Tickets are $32 for PCP faculty/staff and students and $64 for guests. Ticket includes dinner, dancing and 3 drink tickets (beer/wine/soft drinks). There will be a photo booth and prizes! Students should have gotten a google evite to attend their respective class meetings (4/4 at 2PM for P1, 4/11 at 2PM for P3 and 4/13 at 1PM for P2). Students are expected to attend. In the unusual situation that an excused absence is being requested - submit your request HERE. With the exception of illness, all requests must be made within TWO weeks of the scheduled meeting. The CVS Health Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students will be awarded to five outstanding underrepresented minority (URM) students enrolled in the pharmacy program. UMR, SNPhA, and BSU are happy to announce their clinical diversity speaker panel on Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8PM at STC 145. The speakers are Brandon Garcia, Hajar Mokhlis, Fidelia Bernice, and Taylor Jones. There will be raffle, prizes, and food! The goal of this panel is to talk about health literacy and representation in healthcare. RSVP is required to attend at this link and we will be accepting the first 50 RSVPs by March 29th. Come and get an oncology experience at a Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference in Philadelphia. Volunteers are needed April 28th, April 29th, and April 30th. During this event, volunteers will greet attendees, assist with phone applications used during the event, and give out gifts (bras) to attendees. Posted by Dean Foote. 3/9 2023 Bachelor's Degree Graduates - Commencement Speaker needed! Are you getting your bachelor's degree in May and want to deliver the student address at the undergrad commencement ceremony? Submit your application by March 20, 2023 at noon! You will need to send in a typed copy of your proposed commencement speech (4 minutes max, submitted as a Word doc double-spaced), and if you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited to present in front of the faculty committee selecting the speaker. Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and complete all undergrad requirements by May 2023. If interested, email your proposed speech to Donna Mandery in CAS at dmandery@sju.edu. If you are graduating in May 2023 you must submit an application to graduate even if you do not plan to attend the ceremony. The date for the PCP Gala has been changed to Thursday April 6th (just prior to Easter break) at Galdo's in South Philadelphia. The evening, 6-10 PM, will include dinner, dancing, photo booth and three drink tickets. Price is $32 for PCP faculty, staff and students and $64 for non-PCP guests. The 1/2 price for PCP peeps is due to the generous donations of PCP alumni and friends. Watch for an announcement is STP for information on how to make the purchase. Parkway Pharmacy (near Philadelphia Art Museum) is recruiting for a pharmacy intern to work on a program focusing on hypertension management in vulnerable populations. This position is a paid internship and can be mostly virtual for the rest of the semester. In the summer, the intern will be in the pharmacy and ramp up hours to meet the requirements of the program.
