20 May 2022

Dear Resident and Family Members,

COVID-19 Update for Residents and Families of Calvary Brighton: Outbreak to be Declared Over as of 21 May 2022

I am pleased to inform residents and families that all tested Calvary Brighton residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing. In line with Public Health Unit advice, we are able to declare the outbreak over from Saturday 21 May 2022, and lift the current visitation restrictions at Calvary Brighton.

Consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care Calvary Brighton will welcome visitors back into the home from Monday 23 May 2022.

Information for visitors

  • Calvary Brighton is open to more visitors from 23 May 2022.
  • Visiting hours are between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
  • There is now no limit to the number of visits allowed per resident, per day, however only two (2) visitors are allowed at one time.
  • All visits are to take place in the resident’s room for now.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including face mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  • As a precaution to keeping residents safe, visitors may be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.
  • If you have any questions please speak with the home manager.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are very grateful to our residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time, and very much look forward to receiving more visitors back into the home. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

Sincerely,
