What germinated as an idea last fall is now in full bloom with the creation of a pollinator garden at the Environmental Sciences Western Field Station located north of campus on Wonderland Road.

Medical sciences student Kenisha Arora has been invited to the UN’s 77th General Assembly in New York where she hopes to continue her conversation around the importance of education and how it could be the answer to solving the world’s greatest problems.

The Western community, family and friends will remember and celebrate the life of former Mustangs football head coach and professor Larry Haylor on Aug. 26. The celebration of life presentation will begin at 11 a.m. at Western Alumni Stadium. Registration deadline is Aug. 22.

Fall Perspectives on Teaching

Offered twice a year, Perspectives on Teaching is a conference designed to showcase teaching innovations at Western, and introduce instructors to best practices in student-centered instruction to enhance the student experience. This conference will feature a keynote by interdisciplinary medical sciences professor Nicole Campbell on "Uncovering the Hidden Curriculum", concurrent sessions in the morning and afternoon, and a closing plenary on academic integrity.

Every Tuesday (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) 

Western's farmers' market 
Stop by Western's farmers’ market and support local businesses. The market is held every Tuesday in the open space in front of McIntosh Gallery. Pick up plants, fresh fruits, veggies, baked goods and meats while enjoying live music.
