Coming up soon: night detours on Main South Road

Nearly every night next week, from Sunday 20 to Friday 25 September, detours will be in place on Main South Road from 8pm to 6am for construction work. 

The detours will be clearly signposted - please follow the signage and drive to the road conditions. You may need to allow a little extra time for your journey.

Detour routes

Southbound traffic heading to Rolleston will be detoured down Waterholes Road/Larcombs Road/Berketts Road or alternatively, Dawsons Road/Jones Road/Hoskyns Road. Permitted oversize vehicles are encouraged to take the Jones Road option.

Northbound traffic will be detoured from the Weedons Interchange off-ramp onto Jones Road and back onto Main South Road at Dawsons Road. Alternatively, take the motorway and exit at Shands Road.
