Calling all Hawks who want to pursue graduate school in the health professions! No need to leave the Nest... explore the options right here at SJU! The School of Health Professions, including PCP, is hosting the SOAR into the Health Professions event on Monday, March 17 from 4-6pm - come meet faculty and students in the Campion Lobby for short info sessions about our programs and careers, along with representation from our student organizations. 2024-2025 Walgreens Pharmacy Inclusion Scholarship Applications are OPEN!
The Walgreens Pharmacy Inclusion Scholarship Program is committed to advancing inclusion, diversity, and innovation in the pharmacy profession while providing high-quality patient care in a community setting. This program offers two different scholarships for pharmacy students who have demonstrated a commitment to becoming culturally competent healthcare professionals. Note, this is NOT a national competition. These are PCP-only scholarships. More information can be found on the PCP Student Google Site. IPhO Executive Board Elections – Applications Now Open!
IPhO Executive Board elections for the 2025-2026 academic year are now open! All students are eligible to apply and may apply for multiple positions. The link to apply is attached below! Applications are due by March 21st at 11:59 PM. Elections will be held on April 1st from 2-3 PM in PTC 140, where candidates must give a 2-5 minute speech. See link for descriptions of positions. Wanna do something fun this Pi Day AND support an amazing cause? Come out to Parenti Plaza on 03/14 where from 12:30-2 pm you can pie a brother of the pharmacy fraternity Phi Delta Chi. ALL the money made will be donated on behalf of the fraternity to St. Jude's Children's Research hospital. Come and celebrate the day in a unique way for the kids! 3/6
Visit the Pharmacy Museum during the Misher Festival of the Arts and Humanities
As part of the Misher Festival of the Arts and Humanities, the Marvin Samson Museum for the History of Pharmacy will host "Morning at the Museum" on Tuesday March 18th from 8-10 AM in Griffith Hall. 2025 Delaware Pharmacists Society Convention CE Speakers Needed
This year, our convention will be held in Smyrna, DE at the Levin Center on May 7th and May 8th. We are looking for speakers for both days. I am asking if you know any preceptors, colleagues, or alumni who may be available/interested in providing CEs. This is the order form for the White Coat Sale hosted by Rho Chi. White Coats are $45. These white coats are great just in case something happens to yours or if you just want a second one! Inpatient Pharmacy Intern Positions Available at HUP Main
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is recruiting for inpatient pharmacy interns. Work at the largest academic medical center in Philly just steps away from campus! Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of medications to patient floors.
- Preparing sterile and non-sterile medications for patient use.
- Operating Pharmacy automation technology such as Swisslog and Omnicell XR2.
