Pioneer PulpitJanuary 11 – "ChurchWorks: Part 1: ————— Prayer Promise"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." "Seek to Show Hospitality" Jacob Gibbs The words that were meant to convey warmth and belonging caused an eerie juxtaposition in my mind. I had heard these words many times without such a controversy in my soul. However, this time, the small expression called forth a response that I had not anticipated. It was 2017 and I was on an assignment for my Christian Witness & World Religions class. We had been asked to pick a unique faith group and attend a worship service, and I had selected the closest mosque. Offering for January 11, 2025 Religious Liberty It is often said that religious liberty is in the DNA of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. From the very start of the Advent movement, we stood for an idea that was radical for its time—that religious freedom was for everyone, regardless of who they were or what they believed. What shaped this belief? It was our conviction that God doesn’t want forced obedience. Livestreaming Schedule9:00 AM ET - Pioneer at Worship Offering |
