Dear Friends and Partners,
PCSD remains focused on supporting charter schools and ensuring they have the facilities and resources needed to thrive—especially in times of crisis. As nonprofits navigate an evolving landscape, we continue to stand by our school partners, helping them access funding, recover from challenges, and expand their impact.
The recent LA wildfires have deeply affected our LA community and several of our local charter schools. We continue to assess how we can best support the reopening of impacted schools and stand with the CCSA SoCal Wildfire Relief Fund to provide critical assistance. In the spirit of service, our LA team recently gathered to volunteer at the LA Regional Food Bank. Additionally, we are working to help California charter schools navigate Proposition 2 funding, ensuring they can access the resources needed to invest in their facilities.
This month, we’re also excited to welcome the newest member of the PCSD team, Peter Flynn, our new Project Director, Central Texas.
We’re looking forward to attending and sponsoring the Colorado League of Charter Schools Conference later this month—if you’ll be there, we’d love to connect!
And of course, we can’t wait to catch up in person next month at the CCSA Conference in Sacramento—join us and our partner ExED for our annual event, Cocktails and Conversation, on March 11!

Supporting CA Charters in Prop 2 Funding
PCSD is actively working to help California charter schools navigate the Prop 2 School Facilities Program, ensuring they can access critical funding for new construction and renovations. With $600 million set aside for charter schools, this half-grant, half-low-interest loan program presents a significant opportunity.
Building on our success in securing over $200 million in Prop 51 funding, we’re leveraging our expertise to educate school leaders, maximize application priority points, connect schools with experienced consultants, and facilitate building plan acquisitions. As the application window approaches, we remain committed to guiding schools through every step of the process.

OUR PEOPLE
PCSD Welcomes Peter Flynn
We are excited to welcome a new member of the PCSD team, Peter Flynn, who joins us as Project Director, Central Texas.
Peter is a sixth-generation Texan who grew up in Austin and has been deeply involved in the growth of the region. He has extensive experience spanning real estate acquisition, development, construction, and management. A proud Longhorn, Peter earned his B.A. in Government from the The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Baylor University. In addition to his expertise in real estate, he is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and serves on several HOA and MUD boards, contributing to the community’s ongoing development.

Our LA team came together to volunteer at the LA Regional Food Bank, helping provide meals to families. Giving back to the community is core to our mission, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support those in need during this challenging time.
