I read an article (ok, I watched an Instagram reel) that talked about how May is a month of transition.
Did you find this to be the case for your May?
My May was focused on making some positive updates to my business, which includes a stronger focus on our flexible, curated and immersive Public Speaking & Presentation Skills training programs.
Here are some additional highlights from May...
- Became an Auctioneer. I emceed a children's literacy fundraiser and served as the event's Live Auctioneer - what a rush!
- Hosted a company's two-day sales team meeting. Two competing companies recently merged, and this was their first time gathering together as one new team. We prioritized connections and reinforced a new team mindset with one shared goal.
- Delivered my signature keynote, "The Funny Thing About Perseverance" at the Lake Norman HR Association (SHRM chapter) meeting and at the HR Without a Doubt Conference. This keynote shares my journey as an entrepreneur with lots of humor and interactive conversations included. Pro Tip: An interactive presentation is much more engaging and can increase message retention.
- Facilitated a Speed Networking session for the Charlotte Area Chamber's Young Professionals group at IKEA.
- Met up with friends for some much-needed, quality social time. Who wants to join me next time?
