NDIS Commission update

The NDIS Commission is committed to demonstrating respect, safeguarding and upholding the rights of all people with disability, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Recently, during National Reconciliation Week (27 May to June 3 2023), we re-affirmed our commitment to our reconciliation journey and to progressing our Reconciliation Action Plan. We will continue working to identify opportunities to reduce harm and improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability,

Additionally, we welcome the Budget announcement that an extra $142.6m will be invested in the NDIS Commission over the next two years. This will enable us to increase our workforce to meet demand, and elevate our capability in safeguarding and upholding the rights of participants.
