Hello Neighbour,

Last year we launched our city-wide engagement process as a response to the growing number of homes we are a building across the Wellington region. At Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities, we not only provide warm, dry homes but also support thriving, sustainable, communities and neighbourhoods.  Our region includes Wellington, Kāpiti, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and the Wairarapa.

We are emailing you as we want to let you know that that the local Kāinga Ora team will be at the Newtown Festival this Sunday.

• We will talk to people about the work we are doing to build a brighter future for Wellington, as well as how we are keeping people in the loop about our housing projects. We've got some great online tools to help with this, which will make it easy for people to see what's happening and when.  
• We will also let people know how Kāinga Ora could give people a helping hand towards first home ownership – including first home grant and first home loan. Check out our new first home decision tool.

We will have water and sunblock ready for you and have some face painting and other activities for Tamariki as part of Te rā o ngā (Childrens day) 

• Where: Corner of Riddiford St and Gordon St (outside the Silk Route Spices shop) 
• When: Sunday, 3 March 
• Time: 9am – 1pm 

If you come along to the Newtown festival, please come over and say kia ora.

We are committed to keeping our communities updated as we progress with plans for homes in your region. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that we have introduced a few new options to connect with you so we can be more efficient, reduce paper waste, and ensure information reaches you on time.

You can sign up to our online platform to receive regular email updates about how Kāinga Ora supports customers and communities, new housing milestones, other useful information and good news stories in the community. In addition, we are using an interactive mapping tool to ensure you have online access to the most up-to-date information.
