Volunteers needed for Day of Gratitude!

The Office of Advancement is looking for students available to volunteer to thank our UCity campus donors for their Day of Giving support! Our Day of Gratitude takes place on Wednesday, April 10, and we are looking for volunteers who might be able to help during any free time they might have between 10 AM- 1PM. Volunteers would receive service hours for delivering small gifts to offices on campus to our staff for their support towards PCP scholarships, financial aid, and university operations. May Graduates need to complete Marching Orders

Graduating students need to fill out the Marching Orders that was sent out via email. Even if you do not plan to attend you must fill out the form . In the Marching Orders you will also need to provide the phonetic pronunciation of your name. This will allow the Registrar's Office to prepare accordingly for the ceremony. As a reminder, tickets are not required for your guests to attend the ceremony so there is no limit on who you can invite. Please let me know if you have any questions. sdominguez@sju.edu. REMINDER SCCP Bite Sized Learning!!

Reminder this upcoming Tuesday (April 9th) during PCP hour 2-3pm, SCCP is having Bite Sized Learning. An event where multiple professors will be providing mini patient cases to help students get an idea on what clinical pharmacists see on a day to day basis. Come to win a prize!! 4/4

Rho Chi, PPA, and AMCP will be hosting a clinical jeopardy competition sponsored by Pyrls. The event will take place on April 11th at 1pm. PCP-SSHP Post Match Residency Panel - April 11th 7pm on Zoom!

Interested in hearing from current P4s & PGY-1 residents about their recent residency matching experience? P4 students and residents from PCP, Temple University School of Pharmacy, Jefferson College of Pharmacy and HUP will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the match process. If you are interested in pursuing post graduate training or have no idea what a residency actually is, come to this session to gain some insight on what it entails! Immigrant Healthcare in Philadelphia - Lecture Presentation

Thursday, April 18th, we are pleased to present the Lois Cohen Lecture Series in Global Health entitled "Immigrant Healthcare in Philadelphia: Policy Challenges and Practical Solutions." Presented by an interprofessional team from Temple University School of Pharmacy and School of Public Health, this lecture will delve into the complex and intricate nature of the healthcare needs for refugees and immigrants coming into Philadelphia

The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, April 18th, 2024, at 5:30 PM in Campion Hall Doyle North. Reception to follow. All are welcomed to attend.

Dine 4 Diversity Event - Support our PT Colleagues!

The American Physical Therapy Association's Minority Affairs Committee is hosting a dine-for diversity event on April 10th at multiple restaurants across Pennsylvania for a great cause! This event will help support scholarships and programs aimed to increase diversity within the PT profession. 3-CREDIT ELECTIVE/INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Pharmacy History & Museum Practice

Offered fall 2024, the PHILADELPHIA-AREA INTERNSHIP COURSE allows pharmacy students to spend 10 hours a week working with the team at the Marvin Samson Museum for the History of Pharmacy, located on the UC campus. As a student intern, you will have to opportunity to research and care for historical pharmacy and college artifacts, create collection photography, and curate installation and interactive displays. Students will deepen interdisciplinary skills including: critical thinking; creative problem-solving; and information synthesis, presentation and communication.
