How Are We Driving?

Several years ago, a Michigander who had just pulled off the interstate (in Michigan) had stopped at the stop sign when suddenly a young fellow, messing with his phone, came barreling into her vehicle from behind. He rammed her and drove her into the path of an oncoming semi. The result was a broken neck and a whole lot of other injuries, which, as I understand, years later, she is still getting treatments for. Just in case you tend to mess with your phone when you’re driving, go online and see what the penalties are.

Pioneer Children and Family Discipleship is excited to embark on a special journey of intentionally experiencing the delight of the Sabbath during the 2025-2026 school year. Please sign up for occasional notices about Pioneer-sponsored Sabbath Delight events as well as ideas for things you and your family can do to cultivate a deeper appreciation for Sabbath. We will also look forward to hearing from you about what you and your family are doing each week to call the Sabbath a delight. All are welcome. Join us for "Overcoming Emotions that Destroy"—a DVD series with Chip Ingram! We all experience angry feelings caused by tension, pressure, and the frustrations of daily life. These emotions can lead to broken and stressed relationships, leaving us feeling overwhelmed. However, there is hope. With the right support, you can learn to overcome the destructive emotions that affect your life. Everyone is welcome to join us each Sabbath through October 11. We meet in the Pioneer Boardroom.
