NRB members remain on the ground, leading relief efforts to aid survivors of the disaster and minister God’s love to those in crisis. Some of these members include Cru, CBN, Trans World Radio, Salem Radio Network, Samaritan’s Purse, and Shema Media Group. House Energy and Commerce Committee Sets Oversight AgendaThe House Energy and Commerce Committee has released a new document detailing its oversight priorities for the 118th Congress. As the committee tasked with maintaining America’s global competitive edge in energy, technology, and healthcare, the oversight agenda of the House Energy and Commerce Committee includes a robust portfolio of issues impacting the broadcast, digital, and telecommunications industries. Under the full committee leadership of Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee—responsible for conducting hearings and oversight of any matter under the jurisdiction of the full committee—is led by Chair Morgan Griffith (R-Va.), Vice Chair Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.), and Ranking Member Kathy Castor (D-Fla.). Religious Formats Dominate Radio’s Top Ten GenresReligious radio remains on the cutting edge of the broadcasting industry. According to recent reporting, faith-driven radio formats—Contemporary Christian and Religion—dominate the top ten genres across the country and lead other formats in growth trends. The Religion format, which encompasses teaching and talk, represents the third greatest number of stations in the country, with Contemporary Christian, which includes worship and other Christian music, ranked fourth.
