I suppose the whole world knows who Phil of Punxsutawney is. And what’s not to like about that huggable, furry underground critter who cautiously pokes his head from his den every February 2, and predicts America’s weather pattern for the next six weeks? Be advised he’s a lot older than he looks since he has been plying his meteorological art since 1887! And you know what? He’s giving competition to the two-legged weather forecasters who led this university to declare a snow day a day in advance a few weeks ago—closing down classes and the campus (all based, of course, on sophisticated meteorologic computer prognostications).

Where to Get Sabbath School Quarterlies

Families who attend Pioneer Children's Sabbath Schools in person regularly and who study the lesson at home each week are invited to ask their child's Sabbath School leader for a saved quarterly for the 2022 First Quarter. A limited number of quarterlies will be available at the Children and Family Discipleship Welcome Center (on the lower level) from the Second Quarter 2022. Families can request one per quarter per level their children are currently studying.

Limited numbers of regular and large print adult Sabbath School lesson quarterlies are conveniently available on the Reception desk on the Sanctuary level. Ask the greeter at the entrance nearest the awning entrance for one during Sabbath service hours, or the receptionist during office hours on weekdays.

Thank you to members, young and old, for generously supporting the Pioneer operating funds that make the order of Sabbath School lesson quarterlies for all age groups, and the children's Sabbath School magazines possible.

Spring Grow Groups are Ready to Join!

Our brand new roster of Spring Grow Groups is online and ready to join! We have support groups, activity groups, study groups, and more! Some groups are meeting online and some will meet in person, so find a group that works for you and register today!

Grow Groups are open to everyone, so invite a friend or neighbor to join with you! Groups will officially run from February 6 – April 30, but start and end dates vary. Seniors Free Walking Pass

The Andreasen Center for Wellness is offering FREE AGEwell Winter Walking Pass memberships, for use of the indoor track only, available through March 31 for seniors 65+. Those who sign up will also receive a free month of full membership. Memberships may be requested on the website or in person.

Jesus taught that everything comes with a cost and it is wiser to know the cost and plan. This life management principle applies to all aspects of our existence.
